Frequently Asked Questions...

Why should I choose PRN Physical Therapy?

As we are told frequently by our patients, PRN is unlike any other physical therapy office. We offer a comfortable atmosphere in our office so that our patients feel at home.  No two people are alike, therefore we personalize treatment plans based on each individual.  Our therapists will go the extra mile to make sure you have the care plan that works best for you and will get you the results you need.  Our staff is friendly and we truly care about our patients.

When is PRN Physical Therapy open?

The office is open Monday 7:30am-5pm, Tuesday and Thursday 8am-8pm, Wednesday 7:30am-4:30pm and Friday 7:30am-7:30pm.

How do I schedule appointments?

Your appointments are scheduled by our receptionist based on which times are most convenient for you.  We ask that you check in and out with the receptionist at each visit.  In order to get the times you need for your appointments, we suggest that you schedule your appointments several weeks in advance.  Appointments can always be changed or re-scheduled as needed.

How long will my appointments last?

You can expect to be at the facility from 45 to 60 minutes.  During the first few minutes of your initial visit, we set aside time for you to fill out your information and review your insurance.  Following this, the therapist will meet with you and evaluate your condition. Please dress appropriately.  If we are evaluating your knee, please bring or wear shorts.  If we are evaluating your shoulder, please wear a top that makes it easy to view and feel your shoulder.  Tank tops or t-shirts are appropriate.  Please continue to dress appropriately for your future visits.

Do I have to be on time for my appointments?

YES.  We schedule individual time with the therapist.  Our therapists plan your treatment around your designated treatment time.  Therfore, if you are late, your therapist may not have an appropriate amount of time to spend with you.  This could affect your specific treatment for the day and how quickly you recover.  As a courtesy to your fellow patients, if possible, we ask that you give us 24 hours notice if you need to re-schedule an appointment.  We know that sometimes emergencies arise and understand that this can not always be the case.  If it is past office hours, you can call our office to leave a message.  We make sure to call you back the next business day to reschedule your appointment and keep you on track with your rehabilitation goals.

What will be involved in my therapy?

You will undergo a comprehensive evaluation so that an appropriate treatment plan is established.  You will receive a treatment program and individual treatment sessions scheduled 2 to 3 times per week, depending on your physicians' prescription and insurance coverage.  Our goal is to enable you to reach the highest level of function as quickly and safely as possible.

Will my insurance cover the cost of my treatment?

The best way to figure out what your financial responsibility will be is if you provide us with the most current and active insurance information that you have.  In addition to this, it is the patient's responsibility to notify us of any changes in insurance.

Our reception staff will have information about your insurance coverage at the beginning of your care.  At the beginning of your second appointment, our office manager will sit down with you to go over your specific insurance plan.  We make sure that our patients have all of the information they will need right from the start.  If you have any questions about your specific insurance coverage, please do not hesitate to ask the receptionist at any time throughout the course of your treatment.
